Every Piercing Heals In Its Own Time.

The install is the beginning, not the end. Each phase has its own rules.

Week 1 – 2
Fresh wound. Expect redness, tenderness, mild swelling, and occasional crusting. Clean as directed. Do not rotate the jewelry.
Week 3 – 6
Early setting. Swelling resolves and crusting decreases. Avoid pressure, pools, hot tubs, and submerged baths.
Month 2 – 4
Downsize window for most ear piercings. Return to your piercer to shorten the post when advised.
Month 6 – 12
Full healing window for most cartilage. Leave the install piece alone until your piercer approves an upgrade.
Month 12+
Many piercings are ready for jewelry changes, but complex cartilage placements may need longer.

A little care goes a long way. Follow these simple habits to keep your piercing clean, comfortable, and on track as it heals.

Clean with sterile saline
as directed by your

Avoid touching, twisting,
or playing with your

Try not to sleep directly

Avoid pools, hot tubs,
lakes, and oceans while
healing.

Healing takes patience.
Keep your initial jewelry
in place.
